The focus of this years Seminary on the Prairie will be on preaching and sermon preparation. If you have ever wondered how a sermon is put together, if you've ever wanted to try your hand at writing a sermon, this event is for you! Pastors will share their insights on what works and what doesn't work in the sermon writing process. Participants will also work on a scripture text and prepare an actual sermon. Sunday morning will provide opportunities to preach the sermon! If you prefer not to preach, no worry!
Seminary on the Prairie will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, the 30th. The day's sessions will end at 4:00, giving participants the rest of the day and evening to work on sermons. Participants are invited to preach at area churches the following morning. Pulpits within a 40 mile radius are being made available; participants will preach, with a pastor present to lead the rest of the worship service. Following the morning worship services, everyone will return to Binford for lunch and the afternoon session, which runs from 1:30 until 4:30.
