Join us for Seminary on the Prairie! The first of these annual events was held in 2002. Topics have included agricultural ethics, human sexuality, rural youth ministry, rural out-migration, rural economic development, cooperative ministry, congregational leadership, development/redevelopment of rural congregations and ministries, sermon preparation, and veteran community outreach.

2012 Theme:

Ministry to People in Addiction and Recovery

The focus of this year's Seminary on the Prairie will be on ministry to people in addiction and recovery. The event is facilitated by Rev. Ray Branstiter, Pastor at Recovery Worship in Fargo, and Director of Lost and Found Ministry in Fargo/Moorhead.

2012 Presenters:

  • Speakers will include those who work with and those who have experienced addiction and recovery.

2012 Schedule:

This year's Seminary on the Prairie will begin on Friday afternoon, June 1, and conclude the next afternoon.

Friday:

  • 1:30 pm Registration
  • 2:00 pm Bible study - "The Prodigal Son"
  • 3:00 pm Break
  • 3:15 pm Session

The evening meal is on your own. The restaurant at Red Willow Resort will be open.

Saturday:

  • 8:00 am Breakfast
  • 9:00 am Morning Sessions begin
  • 12:00 pm Lunch
  • 1:00 pm Afternoon sessions and panel discussion
  • 3:00 pm Closing

If you have a copy of the AA "Big Book," please bring it along. Or you may reserve a copy on the registration form.

Optional event: on Friday morning, June 1, a round table discussion will be held at RWBC on the topic of multi-point / cooperating ministries. Topics will include problems and solutions, programming, administration, and any other points of interest to those in attendance. This is open to all, whether or not attending Seminary on the Prairie. It will begin at 9:30 am, and wrap up by 12:30 pm.

Seminary on the Prairie is sponsored by Tri-County Ministry. The only charge for attendees will be for meals and lodging at Red Willow Bible Camp, or if you would like to order the $13 AA "Big Book."

Lodging:
Cost: $47 (includes private room Friday evening, breakfast and noon lunch on Saturday)

Meals (if commuting):
Cost: $12 (Saturday noon lunch)
Other meals available: $12 Friday noon lunch
$10 Saturday breakfast
