News from Camp
End of the Summer...
Summer flies by way too fast! Our staff can hardly believe that the last camp of the season is this week. After our closing staff appreciation dinner on Friday, August 6, the summer staff will scatter to return to their homes to prepare for the fall. Most of the staff will be attending colleges in the area, and a few will complete their high school education.
We will be saying goodbye to Allison, who is heading to Baldwin, ND to teach. We will be 'keeping' one of our summer staff, Josh Silbernagel, who will begin as the new Program Director as of August 1.
Fall, Winter, Spring Retreat Season

Memorial Chapel Improvements Continue!
Last summer, thanks to the generosity of the great folks at Trinity Lutheran Church in Carrington, the chapel's new shingles were installed. This year, the stained glass for the chancel windows was completed and installed, and the exterior is being scraped, primed, and painted. Ken and his crew of staff and volunteers have made a lot of progress between rain showers and hope to have it all done by the August 12 Friends Appreciation Dinner.
On July 28, Pastor Suzi Orlopp from St. John’s Lutheran in Jamestown brought eight youth to the camp. They spent the day priming and painting the chapel. The volunteers were: Tyler Ukestad, McKenzie Striefel, Seth Horn, Ashlie Meier, Paige Christ, Kylie Pfaff, Cody Horn, Aaron Butler. A big thank you goes out to this great group of youth.
If you have time and interest, Ken could use some more volunteers in the coming weeks. Call the camp office for more information.
