Year End Blessings
Once again we turn the calendar and say… December! Already?! The rhythm of camp life changes this time of year as our focus changes to year end reports, 2011 budgets, and next summer's schedules.
We look back with thankfulness for all the wonderful people who give their time, treasure, and remember us in prayer. We trust the Lord will provide the gifts we need to pay for the cost of operating a retreat center year round. We trust churches and organizations who want this ministry to thrive in its 85th year will provide Red Willow Ministries with enough funds to hire staff, improve facilities, and provide Christ centered programming for children, youth, and adults.
Each day, we thank God for the generosity of friends all over the country who support the ministry of the camp. Your year end gift is a wonderful blessing to us.
Thank you!

Signs of progress with the bathhouse: Footings were poured the end of October and the weather in early November allowed the builder to pour the concrete floor. Even in the snow and cold, the crew is working faithfully to get the structure framed up, closed in, and ready for interior work.
After so many years waiting for this to happen (Pr, Chuck Sabin had this in mind in 2004), it is awesome to see it happening because of your gifts and pledges!
We were able to raise enough pledges to begin, but are still $25,000 short of the anticipated total cost.
This multi-use bathhouse will not only serve the four cabins of boys each week this summer, but it will also serve all who come to the camp: using the chapel, parked on the game field, or hiking the land.
Your gift makes a big difference in how this project ends! Thank you for considering a special gift to this project.

Recreation Equipment Needed
After Christmas, the camp will be ringing with the voices of Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts enjoying winter and dog sledding with Helen Corlew. We have cross country skis, snow shoes, sleds, and lots of trails and hills to keep everyone busy.
However, on busy days we run out of equipment. If you have winter recreation equipment you would like to donate to the camp, give us a call.
Thank You Volunteers
Family Reunion Project Improves Hospitality House
The Ohlhauser family gathers at camp every other year for a big family reunion. Grandmas, babies, and everyone in between enjoy great meals, fellowship, games, and crafts.
This year the men decided to donate their talent, taking on a major remodeling project in the Hospitality House.
This cabin was previously used as the ‘Cooks House’ and by the Camp Director and Program Director. Since 2004, it serves as a guest house for pastors and church leaders. It has a small bedroom, a large bedroom, a full bathroom, kitchenette, and combination living/dining area.
The large bedroom was bigger than necessary, and the living room was too small... so the wall was moved to create a much larger living room area, while leaving the bedroom big enough for a set of bunk beds and a queen sized bed.
Thanks to the hard work and skill of the Ohlhauser men, the Hospitality House is improved for many more people to enjoy!
More "Thank You's"
A special thank you to all of the volunteers who give their time to help keep the camp looking good:
- The Ohlhauser Family, and their spouses, kids and grandkids
- Pam Ness and Kim Rustad cleaned the Ausland Lounge
- Tom Johnson took out trees to make room for the boys' bathhouse
- Cody Hoyt loaned his lift to assist with painting the chapel and retreat center
